Twenty cards to explore nature, a quiz to test yourself, six downloadable teaching units and a guide to the living world on your doorstep. Made for the students and teachers who actually go outside and look.
What it is
ECO App is the application of Ecosistema di Comunità, a project supported by Fondazione Cariverona that connects different communities and territories towards a shared goal: protecting biodiversity and bringing neglected green spaces back to life, with young people at the centre.
The project produces material — cards, guides, workshops, field trips. The app is where that material stops being a scattering of PDFs and becomes something a teenager opens on a phone while standing in a meadow.
What’s inside
Twenty nature cards
From life cycles to biodiversity, from ecosystems to climate. Tap a card and the content opens: read them in order or jump wherever curiosity leads.
The quiz
Ten questions, an explanation after each answer and a score at the end. The explanation matters more than the score: that is where you learn something.
Six teaching units
Biomimicry, ecosystems, the sea in the Anthropocene, soil biology, the herbarium, biodiversity. Each one reads inside the app and downloads as a PDF for the classroom.

Who made it
ECO App was born inside Ecosistema di Comunità, with the cultural association NEXT ETS and the students of the technical college of Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Corinaldesi‑Padovano. An app about biodiversity written partly by people still at school: it was the most consistent way to make it.
A project to turn into an app
If you have teaching material that has been living in a folder of PDFs for years, it probably deserves better.
